American Air Systems History:

I would first like to start by thanking you for visiting our site. I am Alex Dewees, the present owner of American Air Systems. I am a new owner to the company, but not to the industry. I want to take this opportunity to give you a brief history of American Air Systems and to let you know who we are today. If you have dealt with us in the past, you know the previous owner, Dan Franz. Dan started this business about 20 years ago with just himself and a pickup truck. Dan has a vast knowledge of the HVAC field and was a technician on large equipment, such as industrial chillers and boilers. He has been very successful in building American Air Systems to what it is today by embracing change and keeping up to date with the biggest and best new products out there. Dan is still here at American Air Systems doing design builds and quotes.

I grew up in Weare, NH and after graduating I left for the United States Air Force where my school assignment was HVAC. I knew nothing about HVAC, but they taught me A LOT in the accelerated classes. I continued my Military Career for 9 years, getting the best training I could have asked for. I was stationed at extremely cold Plattsburgh, NY to extremely warm Columbus, MS and Hurlbert Field in FT.Walton Beach, FL. As if these places were not warm enough, I did spend sometime in Saudi Arabia. Nine years in the Military was enough for me and I wanted more for my family & HVAC Career.

After serving with the United States Air Force for 10 years, I moved to Conway, NH and started employment with American Air Systems in 1999. I started out as a lead service technician and after 2 years I became the service manager. Then in September 2009 I purchased American Air Systems. I have enjoyed the service side of this business and look forward to expanding my knowledge on the design and sales side.

As the new year begins we here at American Air Systems are extremly excited about the new product lines we are seeing, Did you know Lennox just released a new 98% gas, variable speed furnace? Unbelivable! We are proud to carry the highest quality equipment in the industry today and our continuing education has kept our technicians busy this winter.
